My Top Indie Tracks of 2025
I put together the songs I can't live without for a year-end podcast.
2025 was another great year for indie musicians to put their music into "The Valueverse." That's the place where you, as a musician, can reach a new audience while enjoying a new type of earnings system, peer-to-peer, through Bitcoin payments.
As a fan, you can have a direct relationship to the artists who make the music you love. It's far more ethical to pay them peer-to-peer than it is to hope they maybe get a fraction of a cent from Spotify someday.
I put together the songs I can't live without for a year-end podcast.

It wouldn't be Destiny Architecture® without a proper yoga track.
Not that I haven't been doing yoga to hip-hop songs for the past few decades...but, yes, something softer is in order for some yoga practices. That's where Matthias McIntire comes in with this wonderful classical music track. Use it for meditation, yoga nidra, restorative yoga, or any great savasana.

When I do audio-only editions of Radio Detox, it's because I'm playing music and I want that music to stay in the pod 2.0 ecosystem, where I have the artists set up to receive bitcoin payments directly to their wallets, P2P, no middleman.
At the time of this writing, Apple and Spotify don't have this set up (and let's face it, they likely never will). There's also no way to send a "zap" or "boost" via video...yet. (And did I mention I don't have ads on my podcast?)
For now, I'll be creatively splitting the podcast into video interviews and music MP3s on RSS so you can pay artists directly for their music. Send 'em some sats.
In the longterm, there will be so many music podcasts full of great music for folks to send Bitcoin to!
Right now, every sat matters. Every zap or boost matters. Every episode that plays indie music and gets artists paid matters. Join us. Make your own podcast and play music. Upload your music to Wavlake or RSS (or both). Use an app or self-host. Figure out how to get your music out there where it can be heard, enjoyed, and paid, rather than languishing on Instagram or Spotify.
If you're joining the movement to ditch Spotify due to its distasteful business practices (like playing ICE ads) and because you're tired of having a bad experience that doesn't pay pennies to artists you love, welcome to a new movement.
