New Yoga Music: Haleen "Silent Upgrade"

Just sharing one of my favorite artists for yoga music (and rights-free music for yoga teachers)!

New Yoga Music: Haleen "Silent Upgrade"

One of the reasons I'm so passionate about indie music is because of great artists like Haleen.

If you're a yoga teacher, this is rights-free music you can play in your yoga classes on either Wavlake or the Fountain app.

Haleen has soooo much beautiful, high-vibe yoga music for anyone who needs some yoga & chill.

You can hear more from this wonderful pair of music makers on Radio Detox!

This is the original episode featuring my interview with them and their music:

I'll be re-releasing the video interview soon on Radio Detox, so watch for that wherever you get your podcasts and on YouTube. Haleen is a great example of an artist that said a hard NO to giving up the rights to their music. They actually said NO to EMI. They choose to make their music their own way, and choose how to get paid. They get paid in Bitcoin because it's their preferred currency and preferred way of doing business—independently.

(If you're into this idea, there are many episodes of Radio Detox covering it over the past two years).

For Yoga Teachers

For yoga teachers, this music by Haleen is an excellent, rights-free option for your classes. If you can't afford to pay for music rights to a big-name artist like DJ Taz Rashid, which is ~$200/year for a single teacher for ~$500 for a studio, "Valueverse" music on Fountain and Wavlake is a good option. There aren't a ton of choices yet. But Haleen has many songs there and they can make a great yoga playlist. It's a start. I'd love for more artists who make yoga music to join. An easy way into this world is to sign up for something like Epoch Music. (Made by my friends).

For Yoga Students

Find your flow with Haleen, or simply meditate. I find their music very healing in its beauty and depth. Haleen makes me slow down and savor every note. I love them so much!

I'm just a fan, sharing my love of Haleen for yoga practice and teaching. I hope their music brightens your day!

What I've Been Up To Lately...

Life has been busy, but I've been taking a deep dive in Yoga Nidra. For those who need healing on a deeper level... For those who need deeper rest... For those who want to reset a nervous system badly razzed from life or PTSD...

Yoga Nidra has got you.

I realize "nervous system" is currently a buzzword, almost a dogwhistle to Instagram yoga girlies. (And if you know me, you know I hate the word "girlie" with a passion). Just as much as yoga is a 5,000-year-old science, your brain also is a science. You can use your knowledge of that science to work with anxiety and PTSD.

This is why the U.S. government likes to treat veterans with PTSD using tools like Yoga Nidra. Of course, Uncle Sam doesn't call it that. The government uses a dogma-free style of Yoga Nidra, void of Sanskrit words, called iRest.

If you really know me, you know I'm a traditionalist who doesn't like watering down Yoga and Reiki. At. All. I prefer to give my yoga students the full Yoga Nidra, Sankalpa (intention) and all!

I'll be sharing more Yoga Nidra practices I'm creating soon. Subscribe so you don't miss out!
