Can Life Coaches Give Advice?

Can Life Coaches Give Advice?

The answer is no. Life coaches can’t give you advice on how to change your life. Why would we?

If you think a life coach is someone who sprinkles magical fairy dust on you, tells you what to do, how to do it, and then sends you on your way—let me burst your bubble.

I don’t tell you what to do or how to do it. I don’t give you advice. We won’t talk about your childhood. I’m not a therapist or a consultant, I’m a certified coach.

As a coach, I’m here to help you transform your life into the way YOU want it to be.

Here’s the thing. I don’t know how you want your life to be. I don’t know your deep desires. I don’t know what you daydream about in your free time. I don’t know what makes you dislike where you are as you think silently about where you want to be.

But I am here to listen to you in a way that you can’t listen to yourself.

I’m here to hold you accountable once you come up with your plan. I’m here to help guide you as you figure out what you are going to tell yourself to do!

That’s why I named this coaching business Destiny Architecture.

Because YOU are the architect of your destiny—not me.

As a sober coach, it wasn’t my job to tell people to get sober or how to get sober.

Choose your path to sobriety. You can change it any time. It’s not a marriage decision. Only the choice to stay sober is a permanent one.

As a career coach, it’s not my job to tell you to pick career X over career Y.

I’m not a high school guidance counselor. We’re adults here. You have to pay your bills and feed your family. But you can forge a path towards satisfaction in a career. I’m here to help you figure out what that is.

Your answers are within you.

For whatever reason, you’ve stopped seeking them there. You listened to someone else in your life. Maybe, like me, you came from a toxic and dysfunctional family where you learned not to trust your intuition. I learned how to trust myself again and I can coach you on how to learn to trust yourself.

No one gets to write your story but you. Not a coach. Not a family member, spouse, boss, or anyone else.

Take your power back.

Stop seeking advice from others. Stop seeking recommendations and advice because you’re afraid to make a choice and deal with its consequences.

I guarantee what you have within you to evaluate your life decisions is much better than anything I or any other soul can tell you to do.

As a coach, I help you get in touch with THAT.

I can use Reiki to relax you and balance your chakras. I can use the movement and practice of yoga to help you learn to trust as well. I can help you with personal development, habits, mindset, and discipline.

Most of all, I help empower you to rediscover your little voice inside and to help it become a roar.
