It's one of those days. The kind where your thoughts are racing faster than your heartbeat, and the world feels like it's spinning a little too quick on its axis. Anxiety can be a relentless, unseen burden that we carry, weighing us down, disrupting our thoughts, and affecting our overall well-being. It's a challenge that many of us face, more often than we'd like to admit.

There are practices out there that can help us manage our anxiety, allowing us to find a sense of calm amidst the chaos. One such practice is Yoga Nidra, a deeply relaxing and restorative form of yoga that can be a powerful tool in managing stress and anxiety.

That's why I am thrilled to share with you a new 30-minute Yoga Nidra practice video that I've created, specifically designed to help soothe anxiety and foster inner peace. This video is for anyone looking to cultivate calm, reduce stress, and find a little more balance in their life.

I created this video today as part of what I hope will be your self-care Sunday. I’m in the middle of my daily 30-minutes of yoga practice daily in August to benefit Stop Soldier Suicide. What is Yoga Nidra?

Before we dive into the video, let's take a moment to understand what Yoga Nidra is. Often referred to as 'yogic sleep,' Yoga Nidra is a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping. It's a practice that encourages deep relaxation and self-discovery, guiding you into a state of complete stillness and inner peace.

By inviting you to tap into your subconscious mind, Yoga Nidra allows you to release old patterns, stress, and anxiety. It's a journey inward, a time to connect with yourself on a profound level, and a space where real transformation can occur.

So, whether you're new to Yoga Nidra or a seasoned practitioner, this video will serve as a guide, leading you gently toward a place of calm and relaxation.

The 30-minute Yoga Nidra Practice Video

This video is designed to provide you with a complete Yoga Nidra experience in just 30 minutes. I will guide you through the stages of Yoga Nidra, beginning with setting a Sankalpa (an intention), progressing through body awareness, breath awareness, emotional awareness, and finally, entering into a deep, restful state.

Throughout the video, my voice will be your guide, leading you gently and safely toward a place of complete stillness and inner peace. All you need to do is find a comfortable position, close your eyes, and allow yourself to be guided.

By the end of the 30 minutes, you will hopefully feel a sense of calm and relaxation that you can carry with you throughout your day or into a restful night's sleep.

This is meant to help you with anxiety. This practice is not meant for those with deep depression or trauma that is yet unprocessed.

Self-Care and Personal Development

Engaging in a Yoga Nidra practice is an excellent, nourishing form of self-care. It's a way to show kindness to yourself, to give yourself a moment of peace in a busy world.
