Do You Need To Start A Podcast When You're A New Content Creator?

I think one of the mistakes we make when we're new to creating content is that we think we have to be everywhere and do all the things all at once.

I was like that when I started.

This led to fragmentation that had me all over the place. I was trying to show up all over social, teach an online class, work in a brick-and-mortar shop giving Reiki sessions & classes—and publish a 🔥 🔥 🔥 blog.

I think it's important to ask yourself if a podcast is your best avenue to communicate your ideas.

For me, it was and still is! I had a radio background and audio was my wheelhouse. This also makes it not much of a stretch for me now to show up on camera.

I'm getting used to it 😉

Another important consideration is the learning curve.

How Long Will It Take For You To Learn How To Podcast?

I already knew how to write out a script, record, and edit audio.

If your skill is TikTok or video editing, start there. If you're good at writing, go all-in on that. Start where you're at and don't try to be someone else.

I think, at this moment, there are more ways than ever to get your message out there. But these are my current favorites for you if you're new to content creation:

  • Twitter
  • Typeshare
  • Medium
  • TikTok
  • YouTube

These are the 5 places where I think you can use content to grow an audience the fastest because I've been trying them daily since December 2021 and they're working for me.
