What To Do When You're Not "Showing Up" In Your Content Creation Side Hustle Because You Fear Your Employee Will Discover It

I get it.

I've been there.

I worked in media as a journalist and was living forever in fear my employer would see my blog and decide it was a conflict of interest. I feared I'd be fired or sued before my side hustle took off and paid for itself. I feared I'd be retaliated against at work for what I did online outside the company.

I even worked for someone once who was threatened by me going to community college because it led them to believe that I was hedging my career bets and was, therefore, "not all in" with our success.

What can you learn from this?

Good employers aren't threatened by your search for personal growth! In fact, they encourage it! They know you're gaining skills and expertise that will only benefit them in the long run.

If you're working for the "threatened employer" type, do what you can to get out and into a different environment. Period. That type never pays well anyway.

Being in the right environment will help you grow which will help your passion project grow. Again, I've been there. It's not that easy.

I'll be sharing with you how to GET OUT by sharing the story of how I made it out. Let's start here with the basics!
